This seriously pisses me off reading this type of new. Apparently Wale’s debut only sold 28,100 copies according to Nielsen Soundscan. His manager claimed the lacklustre sale was due to the label under shipping his album. Now some might say its an excuse but a brief scan of hip hop message boards, twitters, online music outlets and forums quickly lends more credibility to his manager’s claim. In fact on heading over to my fave music online shop (Play.com), I find out the CD is not actually instock and would have to wait 1-2 weeks for it to ship.

Now this is just plain bonkers considering how good this debut is. This dude dropped arguable some of the best mixtapes that easily could easily have been used for his debut – The Mixtape About Nothing & Back To The Feature anyone…yet his label lets his sales slip over something so stupid like this. I hope this situation gets rectified asap and please go cop a copy when it is finally in stock at your nearest music outlet folks. Lets support good music.
