This beautiful shoe was released a few years ago (well around 2008 I believe) first in the Japanese markets – as usual with good apparel- and then later in the UK markets. I was not able to get get my hands on one but luckily they were re-released again earlier this year. The catch this time is it has been released only to the Clarks Originals top accounts. So If your nearest retailer is good then chances are they shall be carrying this in-store. Don’t bother going into the Clarks Regent street store because they do not have it there. I had ordered mine from Hanon Shop Online but decided to cancel my order when I found another online store called The Three Threads whose physical store was close to me. I thought why not save money on postage – about 5-6 pounds but Hanon have more delivery options similar to ASOS depending on the urgency of your purchase- cycle to Shoreditch, try on the shoes and pick them up if they fit. Besides, the weather was good.
The design of the desert Khan is similar to the Desert Boot but as a shoe. It is beautiful, urban and classy. If you the type of person who does not dig the old school looks of Loakes and Grenson, then this should be the one for you. Not too modern yet not too vintage. Just that right timeless look that most Clarks Originals fans have become accustomed to. The upper is made with premium suede and has a crepe sole. What I consider to be the best attribute about this shoe is the fact that it seems to go well with anything and colour especially the sand suede (above picture). Any colour of denim and Khaki can be worn with this shoe and it would still look great. Best combo to me is the Black denim and this shoe. The contrast pops off nicely especially if you have your denim or Khakis at an “ankle graze” length (see below for trouser picks). You can go crazy and throw on a pair of colourful socks. Your style your choice. I personally seem to be going for that Italian so sock look this summer or if I must extremely light socks.
The price of the Desert Khan 2 is normally between £59.99 – £69.99. Most the expensive I found to be at the Terra Plana store (Brush Field street branch).

This is very true to size. So go with your normal sizing.
