One of the baddest goiyz to have come out of Naija in a long time finally dropped that eagerly awaited debut today by way of his label, EME. Quick to the point review, if you are a familiar with WIzKid, you already know he is not a Mos Def, MI, Lupe Fiasco, Ice Prince, or Pusha T. But what he is an entertainer a la D’banj style. A young goiy out there living the type of life you wanted when you were his age i.e. nice clothes, parties and ladies. What this translates into is an album that is super fun, light hearted and filled with punchy beats and surprisingly very little artiste features and yet remains very very enjoyable. I cannot front, I was worried I was going to get bored but I didn’t especially when you get to “Love My Baby”, and you find yourself hitting rewind. This tune is the one. If you are a Nigerian wedding singer, learn this darn song. If you are a dj, make sure it is in your bag. This is going to be the summer love song. This song might be the one that finally knocks D’banj’s “Fall in Love” down one place on the Nigerian wedding playlist. It is cooked to that perfect mushy degree that we Nigerians love our love songs.
WizKid has crafted his own signature way of singing and wordplay which he uses to perfection on this album especially on standout tracks like “Don’t dull”, definite hit”Slow Whine feat Banky W” and the super hit “Tease Me”. Even when he goes deep on tunes like “Oluwa Lo Ni”, you still feel that youthful exuberance that makes you realise this is an artiste who defintely still has a lot to offer as he develops. All in all, a super album from one of Nigeria’s finest artistes.
Obviously, if you are in Nigeria, this album is everywhere right now for you to cop. Outside Nigeria, we have the interwebs. As at the time of writing this piece, the album, shockingly, was not available on iTunes as most Nigerian albums are now – I am not going to even start banging on about missed sales and making your album available at the right spots. But you can get the album here @ super Not Just OK. #dontdull click the link and get that WizKid album now.

He should just keep his head straight and focus on his career.
