Y’OH MENS STREETWEAR

I want this Jacket.

As a Nigerian used to wearing trad prints, I more often than not just role my eyes whenever I see clothing designs based on trad. Like I grew up wearing this stuff, so seeing many attempts by designers trying to revolutionise trad has always fallen flat by me (to each his own opinion). Just when I thought designers will finally let the trad rest, cue Kara’s Y’OH clothing taking a well thought out attempt at it and this time, doing it brilliantly. Y’OH got me by the proverbial. Like seriously, take a look at the above and tell me you don’t want to don that jacket like right now with a pair of clubmasters and a sick pair of Raleigh Original Cut Thin Fit denim. I applause Kara Messina for the Y’OH label designs. The symmetry of the cuts on all the garments I have seen so far have been very clean and fitting. My favourite characteristic of the label is despite the wildness of the material, the tailoring seems to have brought it in line, making it tamed and not looking outlandish and loud. Looking very mature. I like that about the clothing. The label is very new, and will be launching their online store this September 2011.
